Just like to wish all readers of this little blog best wishes for the Festive Season and say thanks for reading. I'd no idea how much interest it would generate and have been pleasantly surprised with the hit count.
My wish for 2012 is that all teams play their home matches at their home ground rather than at that of their opponents :-)

Maybole Cup Tie Re-arranged for 7th January
The postponed WOS Cup 2nd round tie against Maybole has been pencilled in for Saturday 7th January 2012 kick-off 13:45.
Two New Signings for the Wanderers
Forth have signed defender Ian Mathers and midfielder Kenny Govan.
Ian has played English non-league with Camelford, Barnstaple Town and Rutherford AFC while Kenny was previously at Dunipace Juniors.

Forth Wanderers 2 Shettleston 3
Forth fought back from two goals down before succumbing to a late Shettleston winner in an entertaining friendly today. The match took place at the Matt Busby Centre, Bellshill and the Wanderers goals came courtesy of a Kris Jarvie penalty and a sweet Gordon Murphy strike.
Maybole Cup Match Scheduled for Saturday 17th December
The Wanderers West of Scotland Cup 2nd round tie against Maybole has been pencilled in for Saturday 17th December kick-off 13:45. Obviously, this is hugely dependent on the weather but we live in hope.
Newmains game certain to be off
Ahead of official confirmation, it's fair to say that Saturday's match with Newmains has no chance of beating the weather if the photos below, taken this afternoon, are anything to go by.
Newmains Re-arranged for this Saturday
Forth and Newmains will try again at Kingshill Park this Saturday kick-off 1:45pm, although the weather forecast doesn't instill confidence in this going ahead.
Update 07/12 : There were 5 inches of snow on the pitch last night and with further snow forecast it's extremely unlikely this match will be going ahead. Further updates when I have them.

The weather has taken it's toll and today's match against Newmains has been called off.
