Forth win the Clydesdale Cup !

Forth Wanderers won the Clydesdale Cup, for the first time since 1995, beating Lesmahagow 3-1 at Kingshill Park tonight.
The 'Gow started the game better and took the lead with an unfortunate own-goal by Wanderers number 4 Grant, who headed into his own net whilst trying to clear. Undaunted Forth got back on level terms when Mark McKay scored from close range and took the lead with an excellent free kick from Crawford which left the keeper rooted to the spot.
Again, the 'Gow started the second half on top and hit the bar with their players claiming the ball had crossed the line when it bounced down. Forth gradually came more into the game and were awarded a penalty when Craig Crawford was fouled. The same player struck his kick firmly only for the Lesmahagow keeper to make an excellent save. However, Forth sealed the win with 15 minutes to go when substitute Alan Cameron converted an excellent cross from Crawford.
All in all it was an entertaining game and the new Forth management team have a trophy in the cabinet early doors.
Next up an away trip to Wishaw on Wednesday night.
